1. WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION

2.  OUTSTANDING ACTIONS

The report from the Chair of the Regional PPG was discussed.

Changes have been made to the system which should make it easier for patients access an appointment with their local area.

Appointments are made through the receptionist in each practice.

Fylde Coast Medical Services now have the contract and allocate a set amount of time to each local PNC.

Monday to Friday appointments are with a Nurse, Saturday and Sunday only one GP available.

PNC is very short of GPs on the Fylde Coast and are looking to make use of Nurse Practitioners and other suitably qualified professionals.

3.  MATTERS ARISING FROM LAST MEETING

There are now more privacy screens around reception desks.

A small private room is also available if required.

Pharmacist post now filled. Working two days a week from December 2nd offering support to medication team and face to face consultations.

A Nurse Practitioner has been recruited and will be working four days a week from January.

Salaried GP in post since September.

Physician Associates from PNC are due in December.

4. PPG NETWORK MEETING DISCUSSION

There is no report because unfortunately neither of our representatives were able to attend.

5.COMMENTS /SUGGESTIONS FROM PATIENTS

Only one comment so far. It was just a smiley face !!!

There have been some difficulties with patients arriving for hearing tests and not being able to find where to go and not hearing their name called out.  Suggested a row of chairs could be put in the passageway for patients to wait.

Some confusion with patients not realising that they need to ask for another prescription when the last one is filled.
ACTION: Medication team to send request to Pharmacies to remind patients to ask for their next script

6. COMMUNICATION MATTERS

 Dealt with under Matters Arising

7. REVIEW OF TERMS OF REFERENCE

This was read and discussed and accepted with very minor amendments.
ACTION: Bev to make amendments and bring copies to the next meeting for members to sign.

8. PATIENT APPS

Blending of Apps is to happen soon. Patient Access, My GP to go and NHS App is the best App to use.

Access to Patient Medical Record can now be viewed on App.

9. A.O.B

Under Local council Section106 Property Developers are asked to contribute to the provision of infrastructure e.g. schools, doctors etc.

£36,000 has been granted to Ansdell Medical Centre to be used for patient benefit but there is a limit to what it can be spent on. It is necessary to put in an application.

There being no other business the meeting closed at 6.20 pm

Date of next meeting  Wednesday 8th February
