Automated Blood Pressure checks

We have an automatic Blood Pressure machine in the waiting room so that our patients can check their blood pressure when they come to the surgery, either for an appointment or on an ad hoc basis. Please take the printed slip in to your appointment with the doctor or nurse or give it to the receptionist who will ensure that it is entered on your records. The machine is situated next to the reception desk.
If you have been rushing or feel breathless when you arrive, please sit down for a few minutes before using the machine. It is important to follow the instructions, as for instance the correct positioning of your arm in the machine is necessary for an accurate reading to be achieved.
