Repeat Prescriptions
Prescription ordering from 1st of September 2026
We will no longer be accepting prescription requests from third party companies, such as Community Pharmacies, Online Pharmacies and Direct Appliance Contractors.
Please order your prescriptions via

- Written request
- NHS app
Please allow 48 hours (2 working days) for prescriptions to be processed by the practice before collection.
Please note that your community pharmacy will also need additional time to prepare your medication before collection or delivery.
If you are receiving regular treatment you can obtain your repeat prescription without seeing the doctor. You may, however, be asked to see the doctor on occasion to ensure everything is as it should be.
- Please allow us 48 hours (two working days), to process your prescription request.
- Prescriptions ordered after 4pm including online orders will not be processed until the following working day.
- We do not fax prescriptions to any Pharmacy due to concerns relating to data protection and information governance.
- We do not accept repeat prescription requests over the phone.
Ordering a Repeat Prescription
When you order a prescription online, you can have it sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice. This is called a nomination.
The NHS App
Order repeat prescriptions via the NHS App or NHS website, and have them sent to a pharmacy of your choice.

About pharmacists
As qualified healthcare professionals, pharmacists can offer advice on minor illnesses such as:
- coughs
- colds
- sore throats
- tummy trouble
- aches and pains
They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription.
In Person
To order your repeat prescription please return the paper repeat slip to the surgery.
When ordering repeat prescriptions, please supply the name of the medication required, and the dosage and quantity needed.
This information can be found on the right-hand side of the printed label on your medication.
Medication Queries
We have a medication query desk in our Reception area that patients can attend which is open from 10am to 1pm every day.
Contact us via our medication query line (not prescription requests) by calling 01253 229520 and selecting option 3 when prompted, between the hours of 10am to 12pm.
